  • FUNDS

    • These are funds which are not related to, or governed by stock exchanges and as such, are not subject to the vagaries of market sentiment, domestic or international interest rates, or economic fluctuations. The funds are founded on assets with secure, defined capital values on maturity. Generally, these funds are based on US Traded Life Policies otherwise known as Life Settlements.

      Life policies are acquired from individuals or companies wishing to cash in or surrender life policies which they no longer require. This may be done for a variety of reasons. Sale to the fund creates a win-win situation – the disposer of the policy receives more than he would by simple surrender and the purchaser ( the fund ) acquires a profitable and secure asset. The policies have indisputable maturity values.

      The Funds are generally of 2 types :

      • INCOME producing. Income is paid over the year. Effective yields received by the investor currently exceed 7%.

      • CAPITAL GROWTH types. Here no income is paid and all increases in value are received on maturity / disposal of the investment by the investor.

      The above are both products of the DEFINED RETURN FUND which has been in existence for more than 5 years. It has produced a consistent level of growth from inception to date.

  • ALTERNATIVE ENERGY INVESTMENTS

    • The products in this category participate in actual projects or, in funds that participate in the development of specific projects in the exciting field of Alternative / Renewable Energy provision.

    • A typical investment might for example be a participation in a photovoltaic facility.

FUNDS

Generally, these are listed Funds based on quoted stocks and shares and in some cases property. They will only be included in MERKUR’s portfolio by reason of superior performance and outstanding track records over a number of years.

PROPERTY

MERKUR is able to source and provide domestic properties i.e. villas, townhouses and apartments in Spain. In addition, MERKUR has access to Spanish INDUSTRIAL and COMMERCIAL developments.

An advantage offered by MERKUR is that it has access to a vast data base which can be accessed by the investor. In addition, MERKUR will source the right property for the, purchaser, based on clearly defined requirements and desires, therby narrowing down the field to a more manageable size.
